Taking an idea and manifesting it.
Here are a few before-and-after samples from the literally hundreds of songs which have come to Shadybrook as hardly more than an idea and were fleshed out into broadcast ready productions.
Every project we take in has its own vibe and style.
The target audience for a dance track is different from that of a vintage rock track and the mixing and production decisions that go into creating those songs and the tools we use to craft the sound varies wildly.
Hip hop tends to be bass heavy so careful attention is paid to tuning in the bass frequencies and balancing the vocals, whereas a vintage rock song should sound like it’s being played on vinyl, and dance music is meant to be thumpy and crisp.
When approaching client projects, whether from a mix/master or production perspective, we work closely with the original artist to pull the sound they are looking to achieve from the recording.
